Take time to discover

Two neighbourhoods, one invitation to wander.

Sablon and Marolles offer contrasting but complementary discoveries. On one side, antiques dealers and chocolatiers; on the other, a working-class history and a strong neighbourhood spirit. The official route connects these atmospheres and shows how Brussels reveals itself through neighbouring areas that mingle without looking alike.

Churches, Petit Sablon, parc d’Egmont and place Poelaert feature along the suggested routes. The walk also invites you to notice traces of social history alongside the major monuments. The official itinerary gives a walking time of two and a half hours, starting at Petit Sablon; then adapt the pace to your own detours.

The official walk is available in French, Dutch and English; open its map before setting off.
